Another year, and now finally another post for Kelsall 39 sailing!

It’s March already. This is the time of year when I begin to work on the boat, and the getting ready for the season. There is an exciting job-list this year and i have a number of ideas and things to improve.

Traveling is something I avoid unless necessary, and so I have to plan the sailing season a little differently. The schedule at the moment is a little bit later than I would like, but the good news is that I am definitely getting the boat on the water this year!

Looking at my job and studies over the coming months I am going to be very busy with other things until the 20th of June. Mid-summer’s weekend is usually my deadline for getting the boat lifted in. However, I have a major event first: racing on the 15th June in France! It’s a 600 mile race to Ireland and back, so that’s something I absolutely cannot miss!

So, sometime after that I should be ready to travel up to Sweden by train. Then get the boat lifted in and ready for sailing. July, August and September should be the time when I will ask people to join as crew.

There’s not a lot more to say right now, but sometime the next month i will come up with a plan and advertise the trips here, and on the crew-finding websites.

Until next time, and hope you enjoy a nice spring!
